•hits a predetermined high or low point
•volume exceeds a predetermined amount (Except ECN Quotes)
•at percentage intervals (i.e. every 5% gain/loss)
•at hourly intervals (you can specify which hours)
•when the market closes at the end of the day

Last Trade:
The time and price of the last trade made for the stock.

Change/Percentage Change:
The change in price for the day. This is the difference between the last trade and the previous day's 4pm Eastern Time closing price.

Volume:
This indicates the volume of trading for the stock.

An Electronic Communication Network (ECN) is a computer system that facilitates trading of financial products outside of stock exchanges. The primary products that are traded on ECNs are stocks and currencies.

ECNs came into existence in 1998 when the SEC authorized their creation.

Based on the ECN feed, we track your portfolio before the market has opened and after the market has closed, from 8 am to 8 pm. Since this is when major price changes can happen, this is an important tool.
